Anushka secretly engaged with Naga Chaitanya
The news of sultry Anushka Shetty’s secret engagement with Tollywood heartthrob Naga Chaitanya has taken over South India with a rage. Rumours spreading around in tinsel town that Anushka engaged with Naga Chaitanya earlier this week at a private ceremony with just family members present.
Few months back Anushka had revealed that she has been very steady in her relationship with the man and it is only her professional commitments that are getting in the way. However it was her statement that the name of her boyfriend will raise many an eyebrow within the media. Is it really Naga Chaitanya the secret man of Anushka?
Naga Chaitanya, son of popular Telugu hero Nagarjuna, made his debut in 2009 with Telugu movie Josh has acted only in four films so far. According to the grapevine, the entire engagement ceremony was conducted away from the media glare and has been keeping it a top secret. Though the engagement is done, the marriage is likely to take place after some time, as Anushka has to complete her current assignments before proceeding towards marriage, say close sources.
It may be recalled that Anushka’s name had been linked up in the past with Nagarjuna, Gopichand, Allu Arjun, Ravi Teja and very recently director Krish of Vedam fame.

Badrinath is a hit in Kerala
Allu Arjun yet again proves his strong hold in Kerala. His latest film Badrinath has done exceptional business in its first weekend. It has collected a theatrical share of Rs. 67 lakh in Kerala in just three days. This is on par with any big Malayalam star’s film.
There were two other straight Malayalam films released along with Badrinath, but the combined collections of both the films in first three days isn’t even half of Allu Arjun’s movie. However, Badrinath is not carrying good report in Kerala.
Despite losing its grip from fourth day, Badrinath will still recover its distribution and promotion costs (1.20 crore) in first ten days. Hence, Badrinath proved a commercial hit in Kerala. But the Telugu version will have to do very good business for at least four weeks to breakeven says the trade, which seems unlikely at the moment.
Sid’s New Director-Producer Avatar !
Southern Stud Siddharth is currently engaged in the promotional activities of his forthcoming film 180, which is set for a release on 25th June in both Telugu and Tamil versions.
Besides this, the talented actor is in plans to wield the megaphone for films and the interesting fact is he will also produce those films. Siddharth may also produce the films of the other directors. Before turning as an actor Siddharth worked as an associate to ace director Mani Ratnam and learnt direction skills.
Siddharth is currently acting in the movie Oh My Friend pairing with Shruti Haasan, which is Dil Raju’s production venture. A debutant Venu Sri Ram is directing the film
Why ‘Badrinath’ Failed At Box Office?
Well, the final result is out. The much awaited and most talked about film ‘Badrinath’ has hit the screens and the result from box office is a thumbs down. Here are few reasons being pointed out by many which led to the disaster from this highly promising movie.
Though the technical standards such as music, cinematography, art department received high marks, the film suffered majorly due to Chinni Krishna’s illogical story and very bad screenplay.
The weak climax due to abrupt chopping of action scenes by the censor board and getting certified with an ‘A’ added to the woes. While Allu Arjun scored in dance and fights, he could not do much in emotional scenes. Tamannah scored in sex appeal.
However, the comedy was poorly rehashed by the scriptwriter more on a need basis and taking cue from Chiranjeevi’s ‘Indra’. The spineless performances from Brahmanandam, Dharmavarapu didn’t help. The boneless and hackneyed script and large attention on the visual appeal than content contributed to the film’s poor performance. The film is only for watching Bunny’s dances and Tamannah’s visual feast.
Trisha, Nithya Menon insult Seniors
Upcoming actresses in Telugu cinema industry are insulting senior actors like Balakrishna and Venkatesh though not physically but in terms of declining offers. Actresses are saying straight “No” to pair up with seniors actors of industry. According to sources, it is known that Telugu movie actress Trisha who is currently busy shooting ‘Bodyguard’ with Victory Venkatesh showed complete reluctance to star opposite Balakrishna in his new Telugu movie Hara Hara MahaDeva. Trisha got this offer through Bellamkonda Suresh who is dually producing Hara Hara MahaDeva and Bodyguard. So that’s the reason why producers of Balakrishna’s new movie Hara Hara MahaDeva have gone to book ‘B’ grade actress like Saloni, Lakshmi Rai and Charmi for his movie.
Here’s an another actress Nithya Menon who also showed her reluctance to cast opposite Telugu movie star Victory Venkatesh in a new movie under Trivikram Srinivas direction. It is known that, Nithya Menon was offered a role in Trivikram’s movie but she declined it at the last minute. When Nithya Menon was asked she quips that, she is quite comfortable doing movies with her age group stars and don’t want to cast opposite senior hero’s.
With upcoming actress in Telugu cinema industry rejecting to cast opposite senior actress, eventually they are loosing offers and their persistence in the industry is becoming arduous. So, lets wait and watch as what Nithya Menon and Trisha has in store.
Allari Naresh treating with ‘Madathakaja’
The tall and talented Allari Naresh is all set to arrive with his new movie titled Madathakaja. This is being directed by Sitarama Raju while Damodar Prasad is the producer. Naresh is pairing up with the slender beauty Sneha Ullal and the shooting is happening at Ramoji city. Sources say the film is expected to hit the screens in July. Already, Naresh has scored a hit in his recent movie Seema Tapakai. Further details about Madathakaja will be revealed soon.
Sexy flop heroine’s shocking package
Tall beauty deeksha seth is although proved to be a dud in Telugu, she is presently to check the fortunes in Kollywood. Yes, Deeksha bagged awesome offer besides star hero Vikram in his next film ‘Rajapattai’ that was launched two days ago marking her debut in Kollywood. The burning bikini stunt in ‘Vedam’ and spicy role in ‘Mirapakay’ made her more popular while ‘Wanted’ joined her in unwanted list.
True that this girl during the early stages of career itself received high remuneration and now there are shocking reports flowing from Chenani. Sexy Deeksha is known to have charged Rs.40 Lakhs for ‘Rajapattai,’ an amount very much high for a debut heroine in Tamil. This pay cheque includes services from Deeksha for a bikini too.
The only HERO in Mega Compound
Quite clear that time is running very bad for entire Mega compound. From Chiranjeevi to Ramcharan via Pawan Kalyan, Naga Babu, Allu Arjun; we can see every body faltering in their own careers varying from politics to acting and production. While Chiru failed as a politician, Pawan though increased the speed but no big hit enjoyed and Ramcharan, Allu Arjun too facing the failures viz. ‘Orange’ and ‘Badrinath’ respectively.
Above all, there seems to be only one man who is at least moving partially on the winning streak and he is Producer allu aravind. Having made good money out of ‘100% Love,’ even with out a 100% success rate as producer, he can be considered the only HERO in Mega compound who can stand with a raised shoulder. Wish that Charan and Pawan join him with their movies that are to release in this year.
Dhada’ cans song in Europe
It is well aware that Naga Chantainya’s latest flick under the direction of Ajay Bhuyan, was titled ‘Dhada’, which is being produced by Chandan Reddy on the banner of Kamakshi Enterprises Ltd.
Naga Chaitanya is playing the role of a lover boy in this film and Kajal is pairing up in the female lead. Sriram of ‘Police Police’ – fame is playing Chaitu’s brother.
The shooting of the film is almost complete. Presently the film unit is in the Europe for the canning of a song.
Devisri Prasad is scoring music while dialogues are by Abburi Ravi. The movie is slated for release in August.
Sameera Reddy all set with deadly stunts in ‘Tezz’
There’s another addition to the list of Bollywood’s action babes. B’town hottie Sameera Reddy will be seen in an all new avatar doing stunts in Priyadarshan’s thriller Tezz starring Ajay Devgan, Anil Kapoor and Kangna Ranaut. She has done all sorts of adventurous stunts from riding bikes to going under the water in the film.And interestingly, the actor even overcame her hydro fear while shooting for whitewater rafting and under water bike ride sequences for the flick.
Shruti Haasan dreams of Action Thrillers
Shruti Haasan, who made her acting debut in Bollywood is now a busy actress in Telugu and Tamil. Three films of hers are on sets at the moment and she is busy in shuttling between Chennai and Hyderabad.
Shruti is doing NTR, Boyapati film and Siddharth’s O My Friend. She is also doing 7Am Arivu with Suriya in the lead. Shruti is a dreamer and is not satisfied with what she is doing at the moment. She wants to do an action thriller and literally she is dreaming about doing one.
“I had the strangest dream! I was a bank robber! Hmm I think I wanna do an action\thriller” Shruti tweeted. If you want to bag Shruti dates immediately, you know what bowls her over, right?
Mumaith shows a different side
So far, the item queen Mumaith Khan is known for her spicy moves and item numbers but recently she revealed another side. It is heard that Mumaith has gone ahead and given away all her childhood toys to homeless children and NGOs working on rehabilitation of kids. Not stopping at that, it is heard that Mumaith has requested her friends to visit the websites of these NGOs to do whatever they can for the kids. Way to go Mumaith!!
